I think its an amazing car, just like practically every other car BMW makes. This car puts out 500 hp and goes 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. I'm not sure I like the price tag, but hey, it's a Beamer.

Over rated , Over-priced, and unreliable as most Beamers are. Thats why buy new so you get all maintenance free, well at least added to cost of car as we all know.
First off "bruce c" . What is overpriced and overrated about it? Yeah it breaks the 100K price range , but find me any other 4000+ lb car that can run a sub 5 second 0-60 and mid 12's 1/4 mile , while sipping on a latte ! The wheels on the B7 probably are worth more than the escort you drive . It is getting old that people who know nothing about bimmers (not beamers or beemers) chime in with their two cents , because an uncle's cousin told them they are overrated and break down all the time or BMW owners are "snobs". It's old buddy , please comment on things you actually know about
I think it's awesome considering BMW does not offer an M7. It's pretty impressive that Alpina tuned the V8 from a 750i to make that much of an improvement in power. The 0-60 time is almost a second less than the 750i. I think it looks great too. They didn't go too overboad on the spoilers and body kit and I'm glad, considering the 7series is BMW's flagship and is supposed to be an executive sedan more than a sports car. The wheels are of classic Alpina design, which looks excellent on it as well. I got a chance to check one out in person at the Chicago Auto Show earlier this year and it was awesome. It was painted in the traditional Alpina blue and the interior was even better and more luxurious than the 750Li they had sitting right next to it.
