Im torn between an 2002 BMW 525i and A 2003 Jaguar X-type.?

Which one should I go for. Iv narrowed it down to these two.

BMW's are great but they look like every other car (due, admittedly, to everyone copying BMW)

Jags are utterly unique and unfailingly elegant.

Jag, It's better looking and less of a hassel. I see more BMW's on the side of the road then I do Fords and thats saying something.
A five series is very different than the X-type. Both are large vehicles but the BMW is a luxury vehicle first in the five series and a sport sedan second. While the X-type is a Sport sedan and luxury together. They are both similar in cost of maintenance very high, but if you are considering them you have the money anyways. IF you want the same enjoyment of a BMW as you would from a Jaguar get the Seven series, a bit more money but you will get a larger vehicle as well. For the money apples to apples there is none here but The Jaguar is superior. Looks the BMW has but is it worth the money for what you are getting? that is a question you have to ask your self
The BMW!!!! THe Jaguar is a very poorly designed and built car, also remember it is built by ford. It is known to have multiple mechanical problems, even at early mileage. The BMW is the exact opposite, known to last for a very long time with minimal problems. Also I believe the engine in the 5 series is the 6cylinder twin turbo that is also in the 335i, which is one of the best engines ever built!!

Both are top brands with a very high degree of customer loyalty. Personally, I would go for the BMW 525i, which I have known is not as temperamental as the Jaguars. Further, the BMW has an excellent service network. In our part of the world the BMWs hold a higher resale value as compared to the other brand.
both have the speed, and whatever. which color do you like more?, which has the better engine and better history as far as parts? I think jags keep their prestige longer than bmws
I think you should test drive them both before you make a decision. they are 2 very diffrent cars one is RWD the other is AWD. Try them both and choose the one you like.
