We took the cars out to the strip, a Lincoln LS V8 vs. a BMW 323i V6. Should the BMW have one?

Everyone said my BMW should have one and it kept up pretty good, at the most 5 seconds behind. But they were saying that something is wrong with the car because its a BMW and it should have beat the Lincoln. I was telling them the BMW wasnt meant to be drivin standard though it only has three gears the rest is automatic and the lincoln is prob. a 5 speed. So is it true should the BMW have won because that other car two more speeds and two more cylinders, shouldnt that make all the difference?

The Lincoln has 82 more horsepower and a 5-speed automatic transmission. I think it weighs about 700 lbs more, but not enough to offset its superior power. You might beat one on a winding road, but both cars are governed to 130 mph, and the Lincoln will get there faster from any speed you might be running.

Your question is not worded clearly. But the BMW depending on age usully would beat a lincoln. Although there are tons of variables that come along with it. # of passengers, drivers ability, car age, car matinance, etc. etc.
what years are the cars. your BMw could be 90's and the lincold could be 2000's
