Can I afford a 2006 Bmw 530?

I make $ 120,000 a year(without tax deduction).

I just got out of college and im 24, I really want this car.

The BMW costs $ 34,995 and my monthly down payments would be $842 over a period of 48 months.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate any help.

Well you make $10,000 a month pre tax, so why don't you drive a beater for a while and save the money to pay cash. Lets say the gov takes 50% of your pay. So you really have $5,000 per month to spend.

If you live cheap you can live off $1,000 per month. Leaving you $4,000 to save, put this toward your car and you will have it in 9 months, and not have to keep making payments on it. It will be yours!

Yes the car cost $35,000 although if you pay by the month 842 X 48 = $40,416. So if you can be a little patient you can save yourself $5,400 or about one month of your life working!

Of course if you are smart you can afford this car. At least you are not buying a brand new one, that is just silly. I would strongly advise against paying by the month for any thing other then a house, or maybe an education.

How did you make it through college without learning something practical - like how to make a budget.

You can certainly afford it or else they won't give you the loan. Might as well get your jollies now while young and single. Make a one-third down payment. With what you are earning it should be easy. If you don't have that much, than you won't be car poor. Learn to save.
If you can't figure that out, you certainly don't deserve to make 120k per year.
why not, you make 120000 a year and the car only cost 34995

i only earn 4800 a year
Dude, you make 6 figures a year. I think it's pretty obvious you can afford it.
