I found a 2003 BMW M3 for $27000 at 70000. Two questions. First is that a good price? Second how much longer will this car last? My current car is a Lexus GS300 thats at 150000+ and is still running perfectly, but then again Toyota is known for their reliability. Would the M3 last me another 70000 miles?

Not a good price. Car%26 Driver bought a 2003 BMW M3 to test. They said it had around 50,000 miles on it and they were able to buy it for $28,000.
The M3 you are looking at should cost $23,000.
All newer cars can last 200,000 miles. The BMW could last you another 70,000 miles if it was and is taken care of.
German cars are usually not reliable, but the 4 cylinder turbo engines from VW/Audi and the Porsche engines are very reliable.

Most of the others are right. I would like to add that if the car has SMG then check then number of times that the "launch control" feature was used. This is done by the dealer.
Launch control is a special feature of SMG equipped M3's and is used for maximum acceleration from a standing start. It's pretty hard on a car and BMW only allows for a certain number of launch control starts before it voids the warrenty. Even if the car does not have any launch control starts in the computer, it still does not guarantee the car was driven with care and respect.
If you're getting it from a dealer, they paid around $20k to $21k for it at auction (assuming they bought it from a Manheim auction). I wouldn't pay $27k for it...I'd get them down to around $22,500 out the door.
