Transmission fluid for a 2000 BMW 323i?

I was wondering if anyone knew what type or brand of transmission fluid I should use for my 2000 BMW 323i. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Both the automatic and manual trans take ATF. Don't go by the lifetime fluid that BMW says because its not lifetime. If you put in 75w- 90 or something like that your synchros will be gone in about a year, don't listen to guy above me. If your trans is an automatic use ATF dextron - III fluid, redline makes a good ATF fluid you can find it on line if no one around you carries it (bavauto.com) And if your manual I would suggest Royal Purple Sychromax, thats what I run in my 325is and thats what about everyone on bimmerforums.com runs in there manual gearbox.

what type of transmission ? if is automatic i don`t suggest to change`it unless is slipping and if is manual try royal purple synthetic 75w 90 but like i said if is Automatic the only oil good for it is the one provided by the dealer
Look in your manual it will tell you what is recommended.
