Mazda MX-5 vs. Honda S-2000 vs. BMW 325 convertible?

I want a convertible and hope to purchase one in the next few months.

I've driven all the above and liked them all in different ways. I could afford a new MX-5 but probably would look for a late model pre-owned S-2000. I found a 2005 BMW 325 convertible at one of those car supermarkets, but it's not a certified pre-owned BMW , of course, although it has their warranty.

Now in searching Yahoo Q%26A, I see some unfavorable comments about the general quality of Mazda. I'd appreciate input, especially from someone who owns or who've serviced any of these cars.

Thanks!

Forget the Mazda. Just because it's someone else's "dream car" doesn't make it more dependable than it really is. Honda has always been very solid and dependable and what most people don't realize is that the S2000 has been around since the 1960's, just never released here in the U.S.

Of course, if you buy the BMW from a Certified Pre-owned BMW dealer, nothing is going to be better. You may pay a little more than you wanted to, but this is a vehicle that you can keep long enough to give it to your grandchildren!

You may not think you can afford it, but if you look at it from the standpoint of longer life expectancy because of better manufacturing, it will actually cost you less because you won't have to replace it as quickly. ;-) Report It
