BMW are excellent driver cars. They handle the road with amazing control. Mercedez cars are luxury cars. It's a different class of cars. They drive easy, and do well to make you comfortable. If you've driven both you'll notice the different immediately. BMW's are very sporty, especially the 3 series, and M3. Mercedez cars are very graceful, minus the AMG series, which are amazingly powerful cars.

BMW is always cool.
The 318is was one of the best road cars around in the 90's. The M3 still is one of the best cars around for a good driver. Straight forward engine, nothing fancy like turbos or superchargers and rear wheel drive, can't beat it for a driving car.

However BMW have lost their way a little with the new ones, too many gadgets and gizmos for me. So I will stick with my MG ZS 180 for now.

But if BMW get back to basics with the 3 series I might be tempted back.

And I'd never own a Merc, nothing but trouble.
