I have a 1989 525i BMW I want to sell. Below are the problems. How much can I sell it for?

The car runs well and can be fixed up if you are into older BMW's. The car also has a small dent in the driver side door. The car is leaking anti-freeze from the head gasket but it has not overheated which was told to me by my mechanic. It is automatic. It has 225'114 miles +/-. The back driver side passenger door needs to be repaired. A new thermosat, water pump, and exhaust system was placed on the car two years ago. A new oil pan gasket and plugs where put on the car one month ago. There is also a new sony stereo in the car. The original speakers are still in the car. It also needs to be deeped detailed. Like buffed and wet sanded.

The leaking head gasket is a pretty big issue. Maybe $1500 or so?
tough question. the 1995 bmw 525i can sell at about $4000, so i would assume it would be even less than that
The biggest problem is the leaking head gasket. That could blow at any time.

My sister bought a car of that vintage and make for about 1,100 and it had less mileage and problems. I think a BMW person who wants it for parts, or someone interested in a restoration project, might be interested.

Similar models listed on ebay aren't selling at the current asking prices, ranging from 1,100 - 4,000. Keep a watch on those auctions and see what happens, but with the amount of repairs that your car needs, I'm doubting you'll see 1K for it.
