Would you recommend the Audi A4 over the BMW 3 Series?

I'm looking to either buy or lease a 2006 Audi A4 2.0 or BMW 325i Sedan.

Any recommendations? I really like the look and feel of the Audi but have read that the BMW is a better more solid choice.

Although similar in size, these are two different cars. BMW is a rear wheel drive car and more of a "sporty" feel". Audi is front wheel drive, less sporty. good for just driving. Your style of driving should probably make your decision for you. I've owned several 3-series and I love them. Comments from others about less maintenance and holding value are true for BMWs. My choice is the 3-series but you should test drive both.

I've owned both and I can recommend the A4 as a solidly made car. I think it's largely personal preference but I believe the interior of the A4 to be better designed. (A small example of this is that just tapping the signal lever will generate4 signals, which is handly for lane changes)

The problem is that the cars are apples and oranges to some degree. If you get an A4 with Quattro, you will be able to drive in the snow without trouble. Quattro's performance on wet roads, snow and ice is incredible. The 325 on the other hand is a front engine, rear wheel drive car which makes it prone to wheel spin on slick surfaces. It has traction control to counter this, but it's no comparison to Audi's Quattro. If you need to drive in snow, this should be a major consideration.
