If you press it it will deactivate the traction control which means you can start a little bit more quickly on dry pavement but also it will allow your wheels to spin if you are in snowy or slick conditions. Sometimes in the snow I have deactivated the traction control as my wheels won't move at all with it on and if you have snow tires you would want to deactivate the traction control in certain conditions like going up a steep hill with alot of snow on it.
DCT - Dynamic Circle Traction - BMW鈥檚 electronic vehicle stability program and traction control. If you press this button, you will turn DCT off. It's not Dual Clutch Transmission because such gearboxes will be found BMW's newest M models.
