IS the "M" package for the BMW 330 worth the money?

I'm looking at a 2004 and a 2005 BMW 330 with the "M" package. Is it worth the extra money? Will I notice the extra performance? Will it even compair to a 350Z for performance?

Yes, it is worth the money and yes you will notice the extra performance. The M3s are excellent cars. I suggest you test drive a 330 and a M3 and the difference will be clear like night and day. And yes it will compare with a 350z in performance and looks. I would choose the M3 over the 350z, but thats just me. Best of luck.

It isn't any faster/powerful than the standard 330. All the M package does is give the car a pseudo-M3 bodykit, 15mm lower suspension and huge alloy wheels (which generally give a harsher ride than a car with softer suspension and higher profile tyres, but you may not notice much of a difference). It may also have a few "M" badges around the cabin.

The performance figures are:-

BMW 330: 0-60 6.3sec, top speed 155mph (restricted)

Nissan 350Z: 0-60 5.8 sec, top speed 155mph.

I would guess that there isn't much of a difference, although the BMW badge carries more kudos than the Nissan.
Worth the money. The 330 and the 350z are very different cars.
